Place, Mill, Remove

Morris is a two-phase game. First you place your men onto the intersections of concentric rings. Form a mill (three in a line) and remove one of your opponent's pieces. Once all men are placed, slide them along the lines to form new mills and trap your opponent.

Nine Men's Morris Rules

The classic form played since antiquity. Three concentric squares connected by midpoints. Nine men per side, placement phase then movement phase. Form a mill to remove an opponent's man.

Lasker Morris Rules

Emanuel Lasker's improvement. Ten men per side and the option to place a new man or move an existing one on any turn, removing the strict placement-then-movement divide.
